Oh, Hell.
Look, I know it's been a long time, and I should probably respect my audience a little more by telling them what the hell is going on. I say that like I mean it.No, really I do. About 6 months ago, I started working at Pizza Hut. 4 months later, I was given an opportunity for promotion to shift manager. I did all the training, books, studying, tests, etc...
After all was said and done, I didn't get the position. I had an interview with the co-owner of my area's Pizza Huts, and I thought it went well, but there were some things that he didn't like about me-
Strike 1. Due to a communication error, I was 15 minutes late to the interview, unbeknownst to me, since I thought I was there 15 minutes early.
Strke 2. According to the interviewer (whom shall remain nameless) I have a complex.
A superiority complex. Apparently, I don't think any of my employees can meet my standards. And they can't. Except maybe 3 of em.
Strike 3. I also seem to stress out too much. And I'm argumentive. Yes, this I admit to, it's a character flaw in my family genes. I'm not using that as an excuse either. Shut Up.
So, amidst these revelations about my character, I was denied the position. I wonder if I really want it, though. Some of the people I have seen get it are, for lack of a better word, Bricks. Yes, bricks.
So, I've decided that if I want the position, I'll need to become a euphoric brick. Stupid and happy. Because, you know, that they don't hire if you:
a: Know the job. ( I have more years of management experience than half of these yahoos have years in their lives).
b: Can do the job right, and
c: Are willing to do the job. All of which I am.
But, I am neither stupid, nor euphoric, so I guess I can kiss that position goodbye.
Now if you'll excuse me, I hear Final Fantasy XI calling.
Good Day

Wow, you are still alive, and I am still a bad friend. :)
Good to know that I am not the only one who hasn't posted in months. If being a brick, means getting promoted, then I know a lot bricks.
E-mail or call sometime. Hopefully you still have the number/e-mail. Keep fighting the good fight, it could be worse, you could have cut off your finger like I did...
